The Mongolian Geographical Society carries out the following activities:

1. Organizing scientific conferences, consultations, meetings, seminars, field trips, excursions, and field research;
2. Conducting basic, applied, and technological development research in the fields of physical and socio-economic geography, and implementing projects and programs;
3. Voicing public awareness and disseminating open information on climate change, environmental pollution, degradation, and environmental management, as well as implementing contract-based work and projects to share and promote research findings;
4. Preparing, publishing, and supporting the publication of scientific and educational books, pamphlets, maps, atlases, domestic and international articles, and informational materials;
5. Participating in and supporting the organization of geography Olympiads, competitions, trainings, radio and television programs, and the development of social media content;
6. Promoting Mongolian geographical science domestically and internationally, and cooperating with international organizations.
